Wyoming is home to several national parks, the most famous of which is Yellowstone National Park. More than 6 million people visited the national parks in this state in 2007 alone. The state's diversity of wild habitats provides homes for wildlife such as moose, mule deer, bighorn sheep, bobcats and wild turkeys. Visitors to this state can view many of the national parks and the fascinating wildlife of Wyoming through one of the many bus tours available throughout the state.

Yellowstone Park Tour

Explore Yellowstone National Park with Gray Line of Jackson Hole on this daylong tour. After a 7 a.m. pickup, your bus will take you through Grand Teton National Park and past the Lewis River Canyon and Falls. After lunch at Old Faithful, the group takes a guided walk in the Firehole River area. The afternoon finishes with stops at the Grand Canyon, Hayden Valley and Yellowstone Lake. Tours run on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 4 through October 4. As of 2009. the tour is $115 for adults and $57.50 for children 8 to 12. Park admission and meals are not included.

Northfork Tour

The Northfork Tour, offered by Grub Steak Tours, departs from Cody and travels the "most scenic 52 miles in America." On this full-day tour, you find granite, limestone and Absaroka lava flow formations as well as a plethora of wildlife. Big horn mountain sheep are a common sight from December through May. The midpoint of the tour is Buffalo Bill's former hunting lodge, the Pahaska Tepee. After this, the bus heads back to Cody, providing views of the lava formations from a new angle.

Green River Wild Horse Tours

The Green River Wild Horse Tours take place in a 10-passenger Pinzgauer. This tour explores Sweetwater County, where visitors can see wild horses in their natural habitat. A variety of scenic vistas and wildlife make this an unforgettable trip. The tour lasts about six hours and is $65 per person, as of 2009. Guests should bring their own lunch.

Wild Mustang Tours

The Red Canyon Mustang Tours take guests from Cody, Wyoming, to the MucCollough peaks wild horse range. Here, visitors will find an expansive refuge of 110,000 acres. This area is home to coyotes, golden eagles, prairie dogs and pronghorn antelope, in addition to wild mustangs. As of 2009, the tour costs $24 for adults and $21 for children.
