Things to Do in La Canada Flintridge, California
In 1996, the city of La Cañada Flintridge was awarded the title "Trail Town, USA" by the American Hiking Society. Adjacent to the Angeles National Forest, La Cañada Flintridge has plenty of resources for water sports and mountaineering. The locals are an outdoorsy lot and maintain hiking, bicycling and horseback riding trails, and enjoy year-round water sports in the Pacific Ocean and at indoor facilities.

Hiking

There are 23 miles of trails running through the town that have been protected and maintained by the La Cañada Flintridge Trails Council since 1974. Trails are open to bicyclists and pedestrians. Some trails are also suitable for horseback riding. The trails lead visitors through hillsides, creeks, plains and shaded areas rich in wildlife and native plants. The Trails Council makes a map of La Cañada Flintridge trails available online or by mail. Donations help defray the cost of postage and printing.
