Blue Ridge Campground
Situated offshore, the Blue Ridge campground is in a secluded forest area with a volleyball court, a playground for children, horseshoe courts and easy access to area hiking trails. A winding footpath leads down to the lake where visitors can go fishing. After a rough day on the lake or in the mountains, they offer a bathhouse with hot showers and flushing toilets. RV spaces are available with full hookups and dump stations. They also have a laundry room and ice machines as well as an LP gas filling station.

Smoth Mountain Lake State Park
The State Park Campground at Smith Lake offers primitive camp sites as well as sites with services like showers, fire pits, charcoal grills, picnic tables and hot showers and protected bathrooms. Additionally, they have a bunk house that's available for rental as well as several cabins and spaces for recreational vehicles and camping trailers. Pets are allowed in some areas and guests have access to swimming, a rec room, covered picnic areas, outdoor games and the marina. Group camping is available.

Eagles Roost
The Eagles Roost campground has over 800 feet of shoreline and 40 acres of woods. The campsites are RV friendly and some can accommodate a trailer up to 40 feet long. They're one of the few area campgrounds with their own private sandy beach. Tent camping is also available. They have separate bath houses for men and women with hot showers, plus laundry facilities. Basketball, volleyball and horseshoes are available. Guests can rent covered or uncovered boat slips, as well as canoes, row boats and paddle boats. All campsites are wooded, as well as the RV sites, most of which have full hook-ups. Some sites have fire pits. All sites have picnic tables and charcoal grills. Pets are welcome, but must remain on a leash and owners are responsible for pet clean-up.
