Playful, intelligent creatures, dolphins are closer to whales or humans than fish. Swimming with dolphins is an experience that few forget, and some even claim that being so close to the dolphins has healing benefits. One of the few places in the world where you can swim with dolphins is Florida. Panama City Beach in the Florida Panhandle is a popular area, with several companies that take people on dolphin-swimming excursions.

Blue Dolphin Tours

Shell Island Boat Rentals and Tours runs the Blue Dolphin Tour via a six-passenger boat. The boat takes you out to an area where a pod of wild bottle-nosed dolphins are known to swim, and the instructor teaches you how to be approachable to the animals.
