Corsicana, Texas, was established in 1848 after an island of the same name. There are many things to do in the area such as whitewater rafting and hiking, and there are several camp grounds to choose from. Whether traveling by RV or pitching a tent, you won't be sitting at the campsite 24/7. These campgrounds offer plenty of activities for the entire family.

Campgrounds

Clearview Store and Marina is one campground in Corsicana, Texas, sitting on Lake Clark. There are several other camping choices, including Chambers Creek Marina and American RV Campground. American RV is for RVs only, no tents allowed. It also has facilities available for special events.

Rates for RV camping at the facilities start around $30 per day or $200 a week. Tent camping starts around $15 a day or $90 a week.

Outdoor Activities

While camping in the Corsicana area, there are many activities available to keep you busy. There are several trails to explore including the Waxahachie Trail, and river rafting is found on Waxahachie Creek. Oak Trail Golf Course is nearby.

In Town

In town you will find the Russell Stover Candy Factory, a movie theater and a planetarium. The Cook Center Planetarium is located at Navarro College and is open to the public on the weekends. There are also many restaurants, including Mexican, steakhouses and Italian.
