The Best Restaurants in the NYC Theater District
The Theater District is one of the most visited spots for tourists in New York City. When you visit, you can see several shows in one day, but expect to burn quite a few calories as you trek around. To keep up your strength, have a meal at one of the Theater District's best restaurants.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle

Del Frisco's Double Eagle is one of the best restaurants in the Theater District because it has 480 seats, more than any other restaurant. If you're stuck trying to find a place with the thousands of other show goers, that's a great advantage. USDA prime steaks are the best choice at this upscale and expensive steakhouse and if you like privacy, you can rent one of its four private rooms.

Shimizu Restaurant

Shimizu Restaurant is popular with show goers who love food, and it frequently appears on lists of the best places to eat in the city. A professional sushi chef, Hisao Shimizu opened the restaurant and created the menu himself. On it, you'll find authentic sushi and Japanese dishes, and the staff is always on hand to recommend a personal favorite and help you pick the right drink to pair with your meal.

Beacon Restaurant

The Beacon Restaurant is a favorite among early birds--the restaurant closes at 10:30 p.m. or earlier every night. Most of the dishes are cooked right on a wood-burning fire located in the middle of the kitchen. You're treated to elaborate dishes such suckling pig with bitter chocolate and you can sit in the pit area, which gives you a full view of the kitchen and the dishes as each one is created.
