Vacation Rentals in the Outer Banks

Vacation Rentals in the Outer Banks
Back in 1903, the Wright Brothers chose the sparse, Outer Banks area to launch their first plane. The rest is history. Years later, the author Anne River Siddons would immortalize the area in her novel titled "Outer Banks." Today, the Outer Banks is a popular vacation destination, with an excellent selection of activities for outdoor enthusiasts. The Outer Banks also has a variety of lodging venues. However, given its popularity as a fishing area, a vacation rental, which comes with a fully-equipped kitchen might be a better choice than a hotel or bed and breakfast. That way, you can cook you catch at the end of the day. Water sport enthusiasts enjoy the fact that most vacation rentals have more than one bathroom. This means that at the end of the day, there is less time spent waiting to shower and dry off. While prices may seem steep, most of these rentals sleep at least eight or more people. For large groups or families, this is actually more affordable than a hotel.

Nags Head Rentals

Nags Head boasts a variety of activities, such as surfing, kayaking, parasailing, kayaking and dolphin swims. You can also take a walking tour to view the nineteenth century homes in the area known as Cottage Row. Hikers can trek through the 1400-acre maritime forest at Nags Head Woods Preserve. The Village at Nags Head is a private vacation rental community with private ocean beach access. There is a golf course and tennis courts on the premises, as well as an Olympic size pool. Most units have between three to six bedrooms and three bathrooms.
