Vacation Rentals in the Outer Banks

Back in 1903, the Wright Brothers chose the sparse, Outer Banks area to launch their first plane. The rest is history. Years later, the author Anne River Siddons would immortalize the area in her novel titled "Outer Banks." Hatteras Island is a popular sport fishing and diving destination. There are more than 500 vacation rentals on the island.
