Requirements for Serpentshrine Caverns

Requirements for Serpentshrine Caverns
For some people, the great outdoors means trees, sunshine and fresh air, but for others the great outdoors is found right at home on their computer screens with the popular game World of Warcraft. Many people, including cyclists and runners, like to unwind by playing this game at home. The requirements of the Serpentshrine Caverns are no longer needed, but still a welcome addition to the game.

Basics

The Serpentshrine Caverns is found in the Coilfang Reservoir. There are six raid bosses located in the Caverns, which culminate in a battle with Lady Vashj. In most situations, you'll find yourself working through the five lesser-known bosses before battling with her, though the order of the five isn't specific. When you win against a boss, you're rewarded with a special item.

Attunement

In earlier versions of the game, you needed an attunement requirement to enter Serpentshrine Caverns. The game removed this requirement in September of 2007, but you can still follow the steps if you'd like. This is now known as the attunement quest chain rather than a requirement, and you need to complete the action if you want to win the Champion of Naaru title.

Attunement Chain

Start by setting the game play to Heroic Mode and walking into the Slave Pens. Then find Skar'this the Heretic and keep track of his location in the game. Get the Earthen Signet from Gruul the Dragonkiller and the Blazing Signet from Nightbane. Then return to Skar'this and he'll grant you a special cloak, which you can use to step into the Serpentshrine Caverns.

Tip

Inside the Serpentshrine Caverns are certain characters known as Underbog Colossus. These characters appear at random times throughout the game, and each one carries a different type of power, which isn't identified. The only way to determine the power each one has is by using your magic on them. The characters can also release certain death powers after they die, which can damage your health.
