Camping in Concan, Texas

Camping in Concan, Texas
It was once the home of hombres and desperados from south of the border. Today the Texas Hill Country around Concan, Texas and the Frio River abounds in outdoor adventure for the outlaw inside all of us. There's no shortage of fun in the Texas sun when you come to Concan, so pack your bag and get ready for a down home adventure. And, if you're coming, you might want to consider doing the way they used to in the old days, with some camping.

Garner State Park

With over 1,400 acres of land, the Frio River flowing through 10 of them, Garner State Park is an oasis in the middle of the hot Texas sun. Heavily wooded and surround by the hills, Garner State Park offers hiking and nature trails along with opportunities to take to the river with kayaks and paddle boats. It's actually cheaper to set up a tent and stay the night as opposed to just coming for the day. Depending on whether your bringing your home or setting up a tent, camping rates vary for a site with water or site with water and electric.
