St. Lawrence River
The St. Lawrence River runs from the Atlantic into the Great Lakes and is considered one of the best places in the world to hook a trophy-sized muskie. In January and February, it's covered with ice. It is not uncommon for fishermen to come away with fish more than 40 pounds and 50 inches plus. Because of the river's size, some places are naturally better to fish than others. Some holes to check out are Alexandria Bay and American Island in Morristown. Using minnows as bait is also highly recommended.
