Cheap Hostels in Rovigo, Italy

tripadvisor.com

Rovigo is an Italian town in the heart of the Po Valley and the delta of rivers that run forth from it. It is known as the less famous neighbor to the water city of Venice and has a culture filled with art galleries and ancient villas. One of the best ways to travel through this region is by bicycle, riding from town to town to visit the massive villas and stopping at near by hostels and albergos for the night.

The Venetian Hostel

The Venetian Hostel is a striking, 16th century villa that has been turned into a 90-bed hostel. A bed at the hostel can be as little as 20 euros per night up to 50 euros for a private, double room. The town of Monselice is a short bike ride to Rovigo, although many travelers choose to walk their way through the plush green country side of the Po Valley and explore nature.

Ostello Amolara

The Ostello Amolara is right off the river in the Po Valley. Costing slightly more, 30 euros per person in a dorm-style environment, the hostel is surrounded by green valleys and blue rivers. The perfect boating excursion down the river and right into Venice can be booked through the hostel.

The Meridiana 2000

The Meridiana 2000 is both a hostel and a campground. You can rent a bungalow that sleeps up to four for 46 euros or camp for as little as 13 euros. The greatest thing about the hostel is they have horses you can rent to explore the Po Delta. Ride through the wildlife and watch species of birds fly about nature.
