Camping in Wasaga Beach

Camping in Wasaga Beach
Wasaga Beach is one the most popular summertime vacation spots in Ontario. Only two hours north of Toronto, Wasaga Beach offers visitors miles of sandy beach along the freshwater Nottawasaga Bay. The nearby Nottawasaga River allows for canoeing and fishing. Because of its popularity, camping opportunities fill the surrounding area. More than 2 million people visit Wasaga Beach each summer, so book early if possible.

Holiday Park

Just a few minutes from Wasaga Beach by foot, the Holiday Park campground offers tent and trailer camping. The campground's on-site bathroom has showers that are fully equipped with hot water. To keep the kids entertained, there is a playground and jungle gym. The campground is open from May to October. Weekend and seasonally rates are available. Kids 3 years old and younger stay for free.

Wasaga Dunes Family Campground

The Wasaga Dunes Family Campground puts families a few miles outside of Wasaga Beach in a quiet, tree-filled surrounding. The campground is suitable for primitive tent camping and electrical hookups, sewage, and water is available for RV camping. The campground has a heated outdoor pool, playground, volleyball courts and shower facilities. It is open seasonally from May to October.

Sunshine Park

In contrast to many of Wasaga's campgrounds, Sunshine Park specializes in "singles-only" camping and claims to be "Wasaga Beach's Party Central." Just steps from the beach, only tent camping is allowed; there are no hookups. The campground has washroom and shower facilities, basketball courts, and volleyball courts. Advanced bookings are allowed, but Sunshine Park does not accept credit cards. It is open from May to September.
