The weather in Los Angeles is fabulous year round so it's the perfect place to visit even in December. The average high temperature in Los Angeles is about 68 degrees F in December. You can partake in most of the outdoor activities that make this city so memorable.

Angeles National Forest

Angeles National Forest is a beautiful national forest situated in the northern part of Los Angeles County. The national forest features hiking, fishing, swimming and picnic areas with the beautiful backdrop of nature. The park has 500 miles of hiking trails and you can climb to the top of Mount Baden-Powell.

Malibu Beach

Outdoor enthusiasts can't head to Los Angeles without going surfing, and Malibu Beach is the site of some of the best surfing in the area. This famous masterpiece offers some of the best winter wave riding available at any of the beaches. Make sure to wear a wetsuit because you'll need it. The waves are big, plentiful and they allow for a long ride if you can get up.

Descanso Gardens

Descanso Gardens is known for being a great place to visit in every season. Explore the seven gardens or take a ride on the Enchanted Railroad. The gardens also offer a wide variety of classes including landscape classes, yoga classes, tai chi and plays. Check out the International Rosarium to see 3,000 types of roses.
