Known for its Old West history and atmosphere, the town of Deadwood, South Dakota, is also a great place for outdoor adventures such as golf, hiking, river rafting and even sightseeing. Cabin at Green Mountain

Set against the Black Hills just outside of Deadwood, the Cabin at Green Mountain is a great place to get away and enjoy nature.This private cabin features a front porch, cathedral ceiling and large fieldstone fireplace, full kitchen with all the appliances and enough room to sleep up to eight people. With a steam running within feet of the cabin and the mountains right next to the cabin, you will have ample opportunities for outdoor recreation such as hiking, fishing, bird watching or just sitting on the porch and enjoying nature. The cabin looks out over a meadow and is secluded, but it is only a couple minutes from Deadwood with restaurants and quaint little shops for you to explore when you need a break from nature.

First Deadwood Cottages

Located on Main Street in downtown Deadwood, the First Deadwood Cottages provide an intimate environment for you or your family to enjoy the town. These cottages include two full bedrooms with kitchens, laundry facilities and private parking and are within a short walking distance of over 40 restaurants and many quaint little shops. When you are ready to sightsee, you have many choices within a few miles including the Black Hills with the Badlands National Park and Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park and of course the town of Deadwood itself. If you are looking for more activities, the mountains nearby offer a great place for hiking and exploring nature. The First Deadwood Cottages can be rented for a night or for several weeks, depending on your needs.

Twin Pines Lodge

Stay in the heart of Deadwood when you check in to the Twin Pines Lodge. Located on Main Street at the base of Mount Roosevelt, the Twin Pines Lodge overlooks the city and is a great sightseeing vantage point to other local landmarks and attractions. The two-story lodge features high-beam vaulted ceilings, four separate bedrooms and an exterior deck running around the length of the first floor. There is also a huge country kitchen and dining area as well as a sunroom looking out over the town. When you are ready to venture out and explore the area, you are only a short walk from town and an even shorter walk to the hills with several hiking trails and streams for fishing.
