A List of Cheap Hostels in Forio, Italy

historytraveler.com

Forio is the main city of Ischia, a volcanic island off the southern coast of Italy, a close neighbor to the more famous island of Capri. In the 1950s it was known as a favorite place for the jet set who descended upon the natural spas to cure them of all ailments after one too many parties. The island also has a scattering of lovely beaches. Affordable hostels are hard to come by on this island catered toward luxury and relaxation, but there a are a few.

Ring Hostel

Probably the most affordable place in all of Ischia, The Ring Hostel has dorm rooms for as little as 17 euros (about $24) per person. They also offer private singles from 40 euros (about $57) and a few quads that have en suite bathrooms. The hostel is very traveler friendly, offering free WiFi, computers and Skype phones for those who want to connect with the outside world.

Villa Olivia is in the heart of Forio and surrounded by beautiful lemon trees. La Rotunda Sul Mare

La Rotunda Sul Mare is right on the beach with a private deck jutting out into the water. Spend your day lounging on one of their lounge chairs or hang out and enjoy a limoncello at the bar. The best thing about this hostel is that it has all private rooms that fit two to six people starting as low as 30 euros (about $43) per person.
