The Massanutten Ski Resort is a four-season resort that is perfectly situated in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. With a well-rounded selection of sports and activities, the resort has provided its visitors with exciting times for more than 30 years. The resort's warm-weather activities include a superior collection of golf courses, driving ranges, golf simulators, indoor and outdoor water parks and swimming pools. Still, the Massanutten Ski collection makes the winter season one to anticipate.

Youth Ski Lessons

Massanutten offers youth ski lessons that range from beginner to advanced levels. Skiing and snowboarding lessons are available. Youth snowboarding lessons are limited to children ages 7 through 12. Reservations are required as classes fill quickly.

Trails

The resort offers 14 ski trails with 1,100 feet of elevation that total more than 70 skiable acres of land. The trails are divided into levels: 30 percent beginner trails, 35 percent intermediate trails and 35 percent advanced trails.

Snow Tubing

Massanutten features a 900-foot-long hill that is designated for snow tubing. The hill requires one tube per person, no exceptions. The resort offers snow tubing training and chaining based on its discretion.

Instruction

The resort offers personalized coaching and slope instructions for an additional charge. The slope instructions include the Pathway Program and the children's Slope Sliders program. Reservations are required for all Slope Sliders and private lessons.

Ski Patrol

The Massanutten Ski Resort activities are secured by the Massanutten Patrol. The team patrols the activities and areas of the snow sports, including skiers, snowboarders and snow tubers. The team initiates emergency services, provides snow sport education and slope monitoring.

Classes and Activities

Massanutten provides an array of classes and activities, many of which are available all year-round. The activities and programs include crafts, scuba classes, couples massage class, dance lessons, yoga, aerobics, cooking demonstrations and more.
