Hiking

Helen is brimming with enough hiking trails to satisfy any enthusiast, with eight to choose from. Especially noteworthy is the Anna Ruby Falls Trail, which winds through the Chattahoochee National Forest and Unicoi State Park, and features the rare double waterfall formed by the junction of Curtis and York creeks.

Cycling

Woody's Mountain Bikes rents bicycles and offers cycling tour packages for groups. Choose from a 14-mile river and waterfall tour, a dirt road wildlife tour through the Heritage Preserve or the Tray Mountain Extreme, a rocky, downhill mountain tour billed for "experts only."
