Sunset Paddle

Paddle up the Chicago River in a double kayak as lights come on the city's architecturally rich downtown. Each tour starts with a basic lesson in how to paddle and how to stay safe on the water. Bring a snack, water bottle and towel. The tours run for three hours Sunday evenings from May through September.

Grant Park Walk

Take a brisk walk around the perimeter of Grant Park. Stop along the shore of Lake Michigan to drink in the beauty of the water and surrounding city. Linger at the dog park on the corner of Columbus Drive and 9th Street to chuckle at canine antics. Hold hands as you watch water cascade in the Clarence Buckingham Memorial Fountain. Bring a hat, scarf and windbreaker for protection from cold wind blowing in off the lake.

The Presidential Bike Tour

Take an easy, guided tour through the neighborhoods and historic sites that shaped the future of President Barack Obama. Stay alert for opportunities to share a kiss as the guide tells the story of the young Obama couple's romance. Bring your own bike or rent one from Bike Chicago's location nearest the tour starting point, Millennium Park. Bike tours operate from mid-May until mid-October.
