Pier 14

Pier 14 stretches out into the ocean for tourists and fisherman to enjoy. A gift shop and restaurant are located at the front of the pier. Grab a bite to eat or stay for dinner, and browse the gift shop on your way out. From clothing to souvenirs, the shop is filled with quality items. Leave the shop and walk out onto the pier. You'll be able to see the ocean waves lapping at the pier far below you, and for a few quarters you can look through the binoculars mounted to the pier. Fisherman will love this spot. It's great for catching a variety of sea creatures, and even the occasional shark.

Nature lovers will enjoy camping at Myrtle Beach State Park in the oceanfront forest. There are many activities available for visitors. Fishing is allowed along with picnic shelters available for daily rental if you need room for a large group. Playgrounds are available for children to enjoy and frolic in the sunny beach atmosphere. Those who enjoy bird watching will find a large array of birds flocking to and from the area at all times of the year. If you're looking for more information about the park, an education center will tell tourists everything they need to know. When you're in the mood for a walk, hiking trails are also present in the area.
