Tahoe Rim Trail Hike

Hike one of the most picturesque trails in Lake Tahoe--the Tahoe Rim Trail. Winding more than 165 miles around the perimeter of the lake, this trail crosses through two states and three national forests. The entire Tahoe Rim Trail is made up of fourteen smaller trails, each about a day's hike. You can camp in the area if you want to do longer hikes. The Tahoe Rim Trail is filled with many native wildflowers and vegetation to enjoy. To avoid the possibility of dealing with a great deal of snow, the optimum months for hiking the Tahoe Rim Trails are August and September.
