Fly a Kite
Catch the beach wind and let it lift your kite high up above the ocean. Lincoln City calls itself the Kite Capital of the world and backs up that claim with three kite festivals each year. Join the festivities by watching kite displays, competitions and even kites flying to music along the shore. Festivals include kite building workshops. The Lincoln City Visitors Center keeps festival schedules available for enthusiasts.

Hike to Ocean Viewpoints
Drive just north of Lincoln City to explore three hiking trails that show off Central Oregon Coast's environmental diversity. The Cascade Head Trail climbs to the top of the headland jutting out into the Pacific and offers miles of visibility up and down the coast. The Nature Conservancy Trail ranges around the headland base and features river views, meadows and forested areas. For the seasoned hiker, Hart's Cove Trail is rugged and provides views of a picturesque ocean cove.
