Heritage Village

Heritage Village is a reconstructed village that allows you experience life in the early to mid-1800s. It has preserved buildings dating from 1804 to the 1870s. Take a tour, or wander through the village on your own.

Sharon Woods Park

Sharon Woods Park, built in 1999, has a large facility containing major exhibits, a ranger station, indoor play area and a gift shop. Activities within the park include boating, hiking and biking trails, picnic areas and an 18-hole golf course named by Golf Digest as one of the top 125 courses within the United States. The par-70 course is open seven days a week, as long as the park is open. Golf carts and pull carts are available for rent, and green fees are lower for kids.

Trammel Fossil Park

Stop by Trammel Fossil Park and dig for your own fossils to take home. You're almost guaranteed to find some due to the enormous amount located in the area. There are no tools provided, so bring your own. In addition, markers within the park describe notable fossils that have been discovered. There is no fee to enter the park.
