Grand Canyon, Arizona
Everyone needs to visit the Grand Canyon once in their life. This spectacular wonder of the world is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide and a mile deep. It is immense. The canyon can be accessed from the North or South Rim. Most people opt to visit the South Rim as it is easily accessible from Flagstaff, Arizona. However the North Rim has the advantage of being a little off the beaten path and as a result is less crowded. The Grand Canyon offers a plethora of hiking possibilities and water lovers should consider booking a rafting trip (reservations need to be made in advance).
