Atomic Testing Museum
Spend a few hours learning about the Nevada test site and the history of the atomic bomb in this interactive museum. The Atomic Testing Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. As of September 2009, adult admission is $12, while seniors over 65, military members, students, children ages 7-17 and Nevada residents pay $9. Children under the age of 7 are free.

Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary
The Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary is a nonprofit animal rescue organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for all types of animals. As of September 2009, admission to the sanctuary is $5 for adults and children 12 and up, $1 for children under 12, and $4 for seniors 65-plus and military members. The sanctuary is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visitors can enjoy the petting zoo featuring llamas and farm animals, a rain forest aviary with tropical birds and various other rescued animals throughout the sprawling park.
