Walkley House
For travelers on a budget, there is Walkley House. This is principally a student hostel offering furnished accommodations, with both singles and larger rooms with between 2 and 7 beds, all charged by the week. In 2009, a small room went for 39 pounds (about $64) a week (excluding gas and electric), making it an inexpensive option indeed. There are laundry machines, and all rooms come with either a kitchen or a kitchenette, as well as a private bathroom.
