Ceta Canyon Methodist Camp and Retreat Center

The Ceta Canyon Methodist Camp and Retreat Center holds a summer camp every summer. The program lasts eight weeks and is open to kids from the fourth grade all the way up to seniors in high school. The camp offers special outdoor activities and exercises, such as rock climbing and canoeing, but also emphasizes the Methodist faith, with church services held every week.

Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center

The Bridgeport Camp and Conference Center holds several summer camps every year, with an emphasis on the Methodist faith. The age divisions are three to five, six to eight and nine to 12. The camps are held in July and August, with each session lasting four to five days. A special music and arts camp is also available for all age levels and focuses more on creating art than outdoor activities.

Southern Methodist University Programs

Juniors and seniors in high school are typically too old for summer camp, but they are the right age for the Southern Methodist University (SMU) TAG or College Experience program. This five-week program lets the students live on campus and experience everything college has to offer. Students live in a dorm, attend classes and earn college credit for the future.

Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center

The Glen Lake Camp and Retreat Center offers several different summer camp options each year, for kids in third grade up to twelfth grade. Sessions start in June and are held through August and each session lasts four days. Programs include Bible study, canoeing, rafting, rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Kids involved in the summer camp spend the nights at the camp and have dozens of activities taking place during the day.
