CT 1004: Top of the line
The top of the line model from New Balance is the CT 1004. Weighing 15.3 ounces each, the shoe comes with mesh sides and top to keep the foot cool on baking hard courts, yet it still offers plenty of support for quick lateral transitions and moving forward to the net. The shoe is available in a D and 2E width, and in either black with red trim or white with navy trim. The version for women, the WCT 1004, weighs 12.4 ounces and is available in a D, B, and 2A width. The women's version is available in silver with red trim or white with blue trim.
The 803
The 803 is the next shoe in New Balance's line, and it has Rollbar technology, designed to minimize pronation and supination in the heel. The shoe weighs 14.5 ounces and comes in a white color with silver trim. The 803 is available in a B, D and 4E width. The version for women weighs 11.5 ounces, and it's white with sky blue trim. It comes in a D, B, 2E and 2A width.
The 782
The 782 model is built with a combination of synthetic materials and mesh, and it has extra protection in the toe box and extra cushioning in the heel. It weighs 14.1 ounces. The 782 is available in a D and 2E width, and it's white with yellow trim. The women's version, which is white with light blue trim, weighs 12.2 ounces and comes in a D and B width.
The 654
The 654 is New Balance's all-purpose tennis shoe. It weighs 13.9 ounces, and it has Abzorb, a foam that fits the foot closely and cushions it. The shoe is white with navy trim. It is available in fourth widths, a B, D, 2E and 4E. The women's version weighs 11.6 ounces and is available in a D and 2A width. The shoe is white with a sky blue trim.
The 547
The 547, which is only available in a men's size, is New Balance's entry level shoe for the recreational player. The 547 is only available in a D width, weighs 13.8 ounces and comes with a leather upper.
