Appalachian Trail Lodge

The Appalachian Trail is one of the longest hikes in America, stretching more than 2000 miles from Maine to Georgia. Located at the northern end of the trail is the Appalachian Trail Lodge in Millinocket, Maine. This home was built in 1902 and has been serving trail hikers since 1988. This facility offers hostel sleeping arrangements, private rooms and a one-bedroom suite with a kitchen at very reasonable rates. A cafe is located just down the street for the convenience of trail hikers. The lodge also offers other services for hikers, including a mail drop, shuttle services and trail hiking advice.

Crater Lake Lodge

Crater Lake, Oregon, is a prime destination for sports enthusiasts throughout the year, including hikers, bicyclists, scuba divers and cross-country skiers. This scenic lake offers beautiful vistas and more than 90 miles of challenging hiking trails. One of the only central places to stay on the lake is the Crater Lake Lodge. This traditional mountain lodge is open from May to October, and offers three restaurants, a wide selection of rooms and impeccable views. The Crater Lake Lodge is also committed to sustainability and preserving the environment around it, which matches the lodge's beautiful natural setting.
