Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers a 13-mile scenic drive through 197,000 acres of the Mojave desert. Visitors can enjoy picnics, hiking, bicycling and seasonal camping from Sept. 1 to May 31. Information and maps outlining the hiking and bicycling trails are available at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. As of August 2009, daily fees to enter the Conservation Area are $5 per automobile and $2 per motorcycle. Those on foot or bicycle are not charged an entrance fee.

Pinball Hall of Fame
The Pinball Hall of Fame features 4,500 square feet of working pinball machines, including some machines that date back to the 1940s. There is no admission fee, and each game costs 25-50 cents to play. This pinball arcade is owned by a nonprofit corporation, and all proceeds are donated to charity. As of August 2009, operating hours are from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday.

Mermaid Restaurant & Lounge
The Silverton Casino Lodge features a large saltwater aquarium containing more than 4,000 fish. Visitors to the Mermaid Restaurant & Lodge can enjoy lunch, dinner or cocktails while enjoying the underwater scenery and the occasional mermaid sighting. The Silverton Mermaids appear inside the aquarium in full costume from 2:15-8:45 p.m. Thursday, 2:15-9:45 p.m Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m.-6:45 p.m. Sunday.
