The Central Park Boathouse
Where else in the city can you enjoy a four-star dinner as a prequel to a gondola ride on a still lake in Central Park? You can dine inside at the Lakeside dining room or outside at the Bar and Grill. If you're in the park simply looking for a quick snack, the Express Cafe offers breakfast or simple lunch fare. Prices vary depending on which restaurant within the Boathouse you choose; all are reasonable by New York standards.

Per Se
Modeled after California's French Laundry, Per Se is nothing short of exquisite. The high-end cuisine is both mouthwatering and palate tantalizing. The menu has its own distinct identity, but reflects modern French cuisine with seasonal specials added to further enhance the dining experience. The prices are higher than average, but worth every dollar.

Del Posto
With its sophisticated blend of contemporary dining and traditional Italian food, Del Posto is an excellent choice for Italian cuisine in New York. The elegant atmosphere will leave you wondering if you are in an older era of New York or a post-modern Tuscany. The exceptional food is priced adequately, but still not as expensive as some of New York's finer dining establishments.

Katz's Delicatessen
You won't find linen tablecloths or a maitre d' at this restaurant, but you will find the best New York style delicatessen---even Gourmet magazine rated its hot dog "the best hot dog in New York." The dining area was used for the restaurant scene in the Hollywood hit "When Harry Met Sally." Food is inexpensive but the best of the best in Manhattan. Reservations are not needed, and the restaurant is very casual.
