Fascati Pizza
Regulars here will often claim that Fascati serves the best slice in the city. While that's certainly up for debate, there is no doubt that Fascati serves some of the best pizza to be had in Brooklyn. Slices are super thin, with a characteristic crispy crust. Plus, for a $1.75 a slice, it's a steal.

Jack the Horse Tavern
Combine the atmosphere and decor of a British pub with the cooking flare of a French chef preparing classic American dishes and you'd get something not unlike Jack the Horse. The menu focuses largely on fresh salads and large meat dishes, including pork roasts, ribs and big bowls of Maine mussels. The restaurant also features a full bar, with a particular emphasis on microbrews from across the nation.

Noodle Pudding
While the name's a conversation starter, the dishes at this Italian restaurant are the real center of attention. Check out the risotto or the schiaffoni. Plus, Noodle Pudding prides itself on extravagant meat dishes, including exceptional steak and grilled chicken. There's also a full wine menu that some have called one of the best deals in New York.

Henry's End
Henry's End opened in 1973 as an upscale diner with interesting twists on the cheeseburger. Over 30 years later and Henry's End has moved upscale, but the focus remains solidly on the meat. Henry's End prides itself on offering a wide diversity of meat dishes, from sole to duck. Henry's End branches out even further during its five-month Wild Game Festival, when it cooks up rattlesnake, ostrich, pheasant and kangaroo, among many other once-in-a-lifetime dishes.
