The Best Hotels in Hawaii

The Best Hotels in Hawaii
Just because you enjoy hiking or scuba diving doesn't mean that you don't appreciate being pampered. The best Hotels in Hawaii will allow you not only to enjoy the outdoors but will also take care of you at the end of the day, whether that means a massage at the day spa, or a soak in a hot tub.

Turtle Bay Resort, Oahu

Turtle Bay Resort is the only resort located in Oahu's North Shore. The resort is located on 5 miles of spectacular beach, while the hotel itself has two golf courses, eight tennis courts and a day spa. This is an excellent place to stay if you want to be as far away from busy Waikiki as possible. In the winter, the surf is high and it is a great place to watch professional surfers tackle big waves. In the summertime, the water at the North Shore is surprisingly calm and is a great place to swim or go diving.

Four Seasons Resort, Maui

The Four Seasons is undoubtedly one of the ritziest hotels on Maui. Its facilities include three swimming pools, two spas, a day spa and two lighted tennis courts. Service is emphasized at this hotel with, according to Maui Revealed, 2.25 employees for every room. In addition to fronting Wailea Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui, the resort also offers free snorkel gear for 1 hour every day and free scuba demos. In addition to the excellent snorkeling opportunities at Wailea, consider trying some boogie boarding at the left side of the beach where waves are just right for beginners.

Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort, Big Island

Having undergone an $80 million renovation in 2005, the Sheraton Keauhou Bay is top notch. Facilities include Wi-Fi throughout the resort, two lighted tennis courts, and a swimming pool with a 200-foot water slide. This resort is the place to stay if you want to do the manta ray dive. The hotel shines lights on the shoreline which attracts plankton that the elusive manta rays like to eat. If you don't fancy doing a dive, consider just a manta ray snorkeling trip.

Aloha Beach Hotel, Kauai

Unlike many of the hotels on this list, Aloha Beach Hotel isn't the ritziest hotel on Kauai, instead it stands out for being excellent value. It is a relatively small hotel with just 190 rooms, two swimming pools, a tennis court and a fitness room. What really stands out, though, is its location, adjacent to Lydgate State Park. If there's any one place for children and novices to try snorkeling, Lydgate State Park with its calm, protected waters, is the place to go. In addition, the hotel is centrally located close to many other attractions.
