San Alfonso del Mar
The pool at the San Alfonso del Mar in Algarrobo, Chile, is more appropriately be termed a small sea. The largest swimming pool on the planet, this wide expanse of blue, ridged by several man-made beaches, is two-thirds of a mile long. One section sports a tall glass pyramid, inside of which the pool is actually heated, along with the sand abutting it.

InterContinental Hong Kong
The pool atop the InterContinental Hong Kong literally runs right off the side, giving swimmers the impression that they are actually wading in Victoria Harbor itself. From the pool, swimmers can look at the city across the harbor, with its myriad skyscrapers set against a backdrop of jungle-carpeted hills. The pool is actually a combination of three pools, two heated and one cold. Music is played underneath the water, too, adding a soothing soundtrack to your swimming experience.

Golden Nugget
Some gamblers worry about card sharks. At the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, Nevada, gamblers may worry more about real, live sharks, as they swim in the hotel's one-of-a-kind pool. In the center of the pool, a 200,000-gallon clear acrylic tank is filled with sharks: sixteen sharks, to be exact. The only thing separating the swimming predators from the swimming hotel guests: 4 inches of acrylic wall. The pool also boasts several waterfalls and a three-story water-slide.
