RV Parks Nearby Hamilton, Ohio
A small city of about 60,000 people, Hamilton, Ohio is located on the fringe of the Cincinnati metro area. For RV campers, the area serves as a logical place to look for a campground in which to park their rig and set out to explore the countryside of west central Ohio.



Hamilton is less than 10 miles from Interstate 75, and sits at the center of a network of local roads leading to outdoor destinations such as Hueston Woods State Park and the Rush Run Wildlife Area.

Cedarbrook Campground

Located 12 miles to the east of Hamilton in neighboring Lebanon, Ohio, Cedarbrook Campground is a family-run operation dating back to 1969. The location is roughly 5 miles from Caesar Creek State Park, with its network of hiking, mountain biking and riding trails, as well as its fishing lake stocked with bass and crappie.



For those looking for other adventure beyond the great outdoors, Kings Island theme park is 8 miles away. The campground has plenty of shade trees and all the RV sites have at least 30-amp electrical and water hookups. Many have sewage hookups as well. Free Wi-Fi service is available throughout the campground, although signal strength varies. There is also an outdoor swimming pool.

Cross's Campground

Open April through October, Cross's Campground is of the RV parking lot variety, although it is dotted with shade trees. It is surrounded by a hardwood forest with hiking trails and the campground has its own four-acre fishing lake.



Cross's Campground is equipped with a bathhouse, camp store, playground, a swimming area on the fishing lake, and 185 RV campsites with full hookups. Located 15 miles north of Hamilton, the campground is within 10 miles of two state parks, a wildlife preservation area and six historic covered bridges.

Winton Woods Campground

The Winton Woods Campground is operated by Hamilton County, but is about 8 miles south of Hamilton proper. Situated on a 2,554-acre park, the campground has 25 back-in sites and 12 pull-through sites, each with a concrete patio, picnic table, full hookups and a fire ring. The back-in sites have a gravel pad, while the pull-through sites are based on a concrete pad.



For outdoor activities, the park offers trails for hiking, biking and riding, a 156-acre lake with boating, fishing and swimming, and a farm-based education center. Winton Woods is also home to an 18-hole golf course. Located inside the Cincinnati Beltway (Interstate 275), gives the campsite a convenient road access to many other nearby outdoor attractions, such as the Miami Whitewater Forest located 15 miles to the west.
