Camping Near Saratoga National Historic Park

Saratoga National Historic Park, near Saratoga Springs, New York, is a historic battleground where revolutionary forces defeated the British army in 1777. The park features artifacts, buildings, battlefield tours and monuments. Though there are no campgrounds in the park, but there are plenty of camping accommodations in the surrounding area.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts: Deer Run

Deer Run Campground is one of Adventure Bound's campground locations. It is located about 20 minutes south of the park. The campground features 30-amp electrical service, water and sewer hookups for RVs, as well as cable TV. The facility is open April to October and has four pools, a recreation center, convenience store, snack bar and playground.



From the camp you can access miles of hiking trails. Deer Run has both back-in and pull-through sites with fire rings and picnic tables. Tent sites are also available in the campground. You can stay in one of the park's cabins, which range from rustic, one-room bunkhouses to deluxe cabins with a loft, kitchen and TV.

Adirondack Adventure Saratoga Springs Resort

The Saratoga Springs Resort is located about 30 minutes north of Saratoga National Historic Park, alongside a private lake and among pine tree woodlands. The resort offers RV sites with pull-through designs, an RV dumping station, and electric, water and sewer hookups. Tent sites are also available alongside the RV sites.



The resort features a pool area, lounge, a convenience store, paddle boat rental, private beach, wagon rides and nature trails for hiking. If you are looking for a more sheltered camping experience, Saratoga Springs Resort rents cabins in a variety of designs, including screened-in porches, scenic overlooks and lofted living rooms.

Saratoga RV Park

Saratoga RV Park is about 30 minutes north of the national park and has 152 campsites, each with electric, water and sewer hookups for RVs and camper trailers. Gravel and paved campsites provide added support for larger vehicles and grassy areas are ideal for tent camping.



While staying at the park, you can take advantage of the on-site convenience store, laundromat and wireless Internet service. Kids will enjoy the video game room and everyone can have fun in the camp's heated pool and on the nearby hiking and biking trails. Furnished trailers are available to rent and sleep as many as eight.
