RV Parks in Rabbit Hash, Kentucky

Rabbit Hash, located in the far north of Kentucky, is situated alongside the Ohio River, which serves as the border between Kentucky and Indiana. A small community with not much to offer besides a general store, Rabbit Hash is a relaxing hamlet around which vacationers can find overnight RV accommodations during their travels. The river provides plenty of boating and fishing opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts who make this town their destination.

River Ridge Park

Two miles northeast of Rabbit Hash lies River Ridge Park, a campground with sites that can accommodate RVs up to 30 feet long. Each site is equipped with water, electric and sewage hook-ups; there is an on-site dump station for campers to use. The campground is open from April through October and sites can be rented by the day, week or month. Guests have access to a boat launch into the Ohio River, where they can motor boat, canoe, kayak or fish.

Oak Creek Campground

Oak Creek Campground, approximately 15 miles southeast of Rabbit Hash, offers 99 RV campsites with water and electrical hook-ups as well as free Wi-Fi Internet service. Nearby Salem Creek entices anglers with the promise of sunfish and trout. Hikers and mountain bikers have access to the Little Turtle Trail and the Blue Jacket trail, both less than 20 miles away. Kayaking enthusiasts should check out Banklick Creek and Gunpowder Creek, both whitewater streams.

Big Bone Lick State Park

Big Bone Lick State Park is filled with streams, lakes and small reservoirs. RV campers will find 62 full hook-up campsites with access to restrooms, showers, a swimming pool and laundry facilities. A small, on-site lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bluegill and catfish; anglers can spend time fishing from the shore. Hikers can take advantage of a 3.5-mile network of wilderness trails surrounding the campgrounds.
