Aransas Pass, Texas, rests along the Gulf Coast waters and is a popular destination for fishermen, sea kayakers, bird watchers and water enthusiasts. As of August 2010, Aransas Pass had not felt the impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The region is home to manatees, dolphins, and sea turtles and enjoys a reputation as a prime bird-watching area, with numerous species of native water and shore birds as well as many species of migratory birds frequenting the area. RV travelers heading to Aransas Pass have several parks and campgrounds from which to choose.

Ransom Road RV Park

Campers at the Ransom Road RV Park can enjoy its proximity to scuba diving, sea kayaking, surfing, swimming and bird watching. You can pull in, park and hook up to water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and electric connections. Your dog can enjoy the briny air at Ransom Road, as pets are allowed. Sites are on flat and level parking areas. Two laundry rooms, a guest room, barbecue grills and a recreation room round out the amenities at the park. Bird watchers should keep an eye out for herons, egrets, curlews and plovers along the shores and grasslands, and wildlife watchers should look for wild dolphins and the occasional manatee sighting.
