RV Campgrounds in and Near Fargo, ND

Fargo lies along the border of North Dakota and Minnesota, next to the Red River. Outdoor enthusiasts head to Fargo for river fishing, kayaking and hiking along the surrounding network of trails. Campgrounds with RV accommodations in the area provide a place for overnight or long-term tourists to stay. Across the river, on the other side of the border, Fargo blends into the city of Moorhead, Minnesota, which also hosts RV campgrounds.

Lindenwood Campground

Lindenwood Campground is situated on the shores of the Red River in a heavily wooded area. The campground hosts 46 paved RV campsites with water and electrical hook-ups. Guests have access to a picnic table, a fire pit, a dump station, showers and restroom facilities. Bike trails lead out from the campground; guests can rent bicycles from the on-site rental center. Anglers can try their hand at catching catfish, pike, bass, walleye and sturgeon from the river.

Red River Valley Fair Campground

Red River Valley Fair Campground is a basic RV park with 12 asphalt sites and 68 gravel sites, 53 of which are equipped with full hook-ups. Campers have access to shower and restroom facilities and can rent a site by the night, week or month. With multiple rivers, lakes and reservoirs nearby, campers will find quick access to activities such as fishing, boating and swimming. Red River Valley Fair Campground does not accept reservations and assigns campsites on a first-come, first-served basis.

Moorhead/Fargo KOA

Located five miles over the border in Moorhead, Minnesota, Moorhead/Fargo KOA serves visitors looking to spend time in both cities. RV sites with 50-amp electrical and water service are available; visitors also have access to a swimming pool, laundry facilities and free wireless Internet. Minutes away from the Red River, vacationers staying at the Moorhead/Fargo KOA can spend time kayaking or fishing. Hikers can travel west for the day and spend time hiking the trails around Maplewood State Park.
