Cameron, Texas is a small town on the Little River, 71 miles northeast of Austin, near the Hill Country. An ancient Native American Trail, called Apache Pass, goes through the area. Two lakes are within 20 miles near Kileen, Texas. Hunting and fishing are major activities here, and there are RV sites available to use as a base for exploring the area.

Rockdale RV Park

Rockdale RV Park is in the town of Rockdale, about 20 miles south of Cameron. Rockdale is within 10 miles of two lakes and there are more RV parks in this town. History is rich in the town as ancient Native American trails are in the area.



The Rockdale RV Park is on the edge of town and has 70 sites with full hookups on all sites. Thirty and 50-amp service is available and there are 25 pull-through sites.



The park has a playground and picnic area. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. There are restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Cable TV is available as well as free Wi-Fi.

Shady Grove RV Park

Shady Grove RV Park is between Cameron and Rockdale, and nestled in a grove of oak trees. This means there is shade for most sites, and trees between sites provide a little privacy.



The park is not a destination unto itself as it does not have many extras or attractions in the immediate area, but it has what you might need for a one-night stop.



Shady Grove Park has 42 sites and all have full hookups with 30- and 50-amp connections. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are included in the cost of your site. There are restrooms and showers, as well as a laundry mat, and laundry service is available.

Holiday RV Park

Holiday RV Park is in College Station, home of Texas A&M University. The park can get crowded on weekends in the fall when people come to watch football games, but often it is not overly crowded and spots are available.



Holiday RV Park has about 50 sites and all of them have full hookups. Pull-through sites are available. Streets are paved and wide, and each site is on a concrete pad with a concrete patio. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are provided.
