Mountainview Campground
Mountainvew Campground is on 200 acres of wooded land and meadows in Little York Township in New Jersey. The campground makes up a park that offers a peaceful and natural setting for vacations and relaxation.
Mountainview has large sites surrounded by shade trees. RV sites have water and electrical hookups. There is no sewer, but there is a dump station. Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. The campground has restrooms and two bathhouses with hot showers.
This campground has a sand-bottom swimming pool and a private fishing area. Fishing is free, but a license is required. There are ball fields as well as open fields and meadows for recreational use. The campground has a clubhouse and equipment for horseshoes, volleyball and basketball.

Fla-Net Park
Fla-Net Park is a peaceful area in the country of the lake area of New Jersey. It is the closest RV park to Chester, just 5 miles away.
This campground has 75 sites, most of which are pull-through sites. The park can handle about any size rig, up to 80 feet long. The sites have full hookups, with 30- or 50-amp electrical service. Phone jacks are available at all sites, and there is free Wi-Fi for campers. Water at the site comes from local artesian wells.
Sites have fire pits and picnic tables. The campground has bathrooms, hot showers and a dump station. Laundry facilities are available. Ice, wood and propane are available at the park headquarters.
Fishing is available at two ponds on the property. There is a recreation room for camper use.
Wild West City is nearby, as well as three lakes--Budd Lake, Hopatcong and Musceonetcong. Several historic towns are in the area as well.

DriftStone on the Delaware
Just across the state line in Pennsylvania is the Driftstone on the Delaware camping resort. This park is on the Delaware River and offers boating, kayaking, canoeing and swimming. It is within 25 miles of Chester and offers enough amenities to be worth the trip. One unique features is a spot in the river where you can arrange the rocks to make rapids to your liking.
This campground has 190 campsites, and all but three have water and electricity. Many sites are pull-throughs. Cable TV is available along with free Wi-Fi. Restrooms, showers and laundry are available.
The park has a store, recreational hall and a DJ playing music every Saturday night. Canoe and kayak rentals are available, as well as fishing tackle. In addition to the river, there are swimming pools, a playground, a softball field and a volleyball court. Planned activities are held during the week.
