Heyburn State Park
Located approximately 25 miles north of Havard is Heyburn State Park. The park is located on 5,744 acres with 2,332 acres of water, which includes the St. Joe River as well as Lakes Chatcolet, Benewah and Hidden. RV campers have three campgrounds to choose from that include 239 heavily-wooded campsites. Some sites are full hookup including water, electric and sewer, with the maximum RV length 55 feet. The park has showers, flush toilets and a picnic area. Outdoor activities include boating, swimming, biking, hiking and equestrian trails, with a 72-mile paved trail running through the park's center. Anglers can utilize the park's boat ramp and marina.

Laird Park Campground
Located within the Clearwater National Forest and approximately 10 miles northeast of Havard is Laird Park Campground. The heavily forested park is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Operated by the National Forest Service, this campground is suitable for RV campers who are self-contained and desire a private camping getaway. The park has 31 campsites that include two pull-through sites, as well as group camping sites. Campsites include tables and fire rings, centralized water with no electric sites or dump station. Maximum length of RV is 58 feet. The campground offers swimming at the Palouse River Dam and anglers can boat and fish for brook trout in the Palouse River. There is a one-half mile interpretive trail suitable for hiking or biking.

Giant White Pine Campground
Operated by the National Forest Service and located approximately 10 miles northeast of Havard is the Giant White Pine Campground. The campground is located within the Clearwater National Forest and offers 14 campsites on a first-come, first-served basis. The heavily-wooded campground is well suited for RV campers who are self-contained, as the park offers no electrical, water or sewer hookups. Campsites have centrally located water, a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets available. Maximum length of a RV is 53 feet. Mannering Creek runs through the park. Outdoor enthusiasts have eight miles of trails on the Great Pines National Recreational Trail System that meanders through the park. The campground is approximately eight miles from the Benson Meadow Trail.
