Stayton is situated at the confluence of the Willamette Valley and the Santiam Canyon on the northwest part of Oregon. The area is filled with numerous sights and attractions where campers can enjoy a wide variety of recreation. Visitors can hike through pathways with waterfalls or go for a swim in the lake or in the ocean. Many campgrounds with RV sites are available near Stayton.

Sweetbrier Train and RV Park

Sweetbrier Park is set in 19 acres of wooded area with large meadows and creeks. The park is located about 16 miles from Stayton and offers RV sites with full hookups, restrooms, picnic areas and laundry sites. The park also features a two-foot gauge train that guests can ride for a mile through the woods. Aside from picnicking and walking through nature trails within the park, you can also visit Silver Falls State Park, just 16 miles away for more recreation such as swimming, hiking or bicycling. The park has 25 miles of maintained trails that meander through forested areas and waterfalls.

Silver Spur RV Park

Silver Spur RV Park is 16 miles from Stayton and offers RV spaces amidst landscaped, wooded spaces. Campsites have amenities like full hookups with 20/30/50-amp service, cable TV, wireless Internet connection, restrooms and laundry facilities. Pull through sites have a maximum length of 60 feet. Other park amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, pet walking areas and a game room. Campers can fish from the stocked fishing pond or walk along the nature trails on-site. Visit the Oregon Garden five minutes away to view more than 20 gardens with waterfalls, fountains, ponds, vistas and a collection of conifers.

Salem Campground and RVs

Situated just 13 miles from Stayton, this RV park offers 195 shaded and level campsites. There are 144 RV spaces equipped with full hookups, 20/30/50-amp service, cable TV and picnic areas. Other amenities include restrooms, laundry facilities and access to a swimming lake. Tent camping also is available. Aside from swimming, guests can fish in the lake and enjoy hiking in the surrounding area. Lincoln Beach is a two-hour day trip away where you can swim, fish, surf and view whales from the shore.
