Bayonne, New Jersey, is not necessarily the first place one thinks of for RV camping. But New Jersey does have many state parks and natural areas within its borders, including in the northeast corner. Sea kayakers to the area enjoy dropping their kayaks along the Jersey shoreline. Bayonne proper has no RV campgrounds, but several options are not far away.

In addition to the RV hookups, it offers showers, toilets, laundry room and a shuttle to New York City. Urban hikers should try the Ellis Island park or hike up the Statue of Liberty.
