California's diverse landscape and seasons make it a popular year-around camping destination. Several California RV Parks cater to visitors in the winter months looking for a warmer climate or convenient access to winter ski destinations. Winter attractions include Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, hiking in Pacific Gateway Park and the beaches of San Diego.

Rio Bend RV & Golf Resort

Rio Bend RV Resort is located five miles north of the Mexico border in El Centro, California. The resort has a warm winter climate, which makes it a popular winter RV destination. It offers full hookup RV sites that include a concrete patio, wireless Internet access and cable TV. Facility amenities include a country store, Buckboard Cafe and clubhouse with kitchen as well as a coin-operated guest laundry, modern restrooms and private showers. Recreational amenities include an 18-hole par-66 executive golf course, outdoor swimming pool and fitness center along with shuffleboard, fishing lagoon and planned activities.

Mammoth Mountain RV Park

Mammoth Mountain RV Park is located in Mammoth Lakes less then two miles from the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. The park is popular in winter with ski enthusiast and offers all the amenities as summer except water due to the lines freezing. It offers full-hookup RV sites that include a paved pad, wireless Internet and cable TV. Facility amenities include a camp store, dump station and coin-operated guest laundry as well as a modern bathhouse with private showers. Recreational amenities include an indoor swimming pool, hot tub and recreation room. There are hiking trails accessible from the camp, which can be used for snowshoeing in the winter.

Mission Bay RV Resort

Mission Bay RV Resort is located on Mission Bay in northern San Diego. It is a popular winter RV Park because of its warm winter climate and guests can explore the city without the summer crowds. The resort offers full-hookup RV sites that include a paved pad, picnic table and cable TV along with wireless Internet access. Facility amenities include a clubhouse, coin-operated guest laundry and modern bathhouse with private showers. Recreational amenities include a large sandy beach, boat launch and playground as well as daily planned activities during the winter months. A paved hiking/biking trail is accessible from the resort and runs along Mission bay.
