Lake Winnie Fishing Resorts in Minnesota
Lake Winnibigoshish, or Lake Winnie as the locals call it is, located in north central Minnesota in the Chippewa National Forest. The lake is Minnesota's fifth largest lake at 67,000 acres and has quality fishing for walleye, northern pike and muskie. Visitors will find several resorts on the lake that provide many amenities including boat rentals.

Eagle Nest Lodge

The Eagle Nest Lodge is located on the north shore of Lake Winnibigoshish and offers one- to three-bedroom cabins with water views. Cabins include a fully equipped kitchen, all linens and a deck with a charcoal grill. The main lodge at the resort includes amenities such as a gift shop, coin-operated guest laundry and game room along with convenience store with groceries, gas and fishing bait. The resort offers aluminum fishing boat and pontoon boat rentals that include a motor and safety equipment. There are two fishing piers that each has boat docks that guests can use for free. Guests have access to hiking trails that run in the wooded area behind the resort.

High Banks Resort

High Banks Resort is located on the northeast shore of the lake and offers one- to three-bedroom cabins and a 15-site campground will full hook-ups. Cabins include a fully equipped kitchen, linens and deck with picnic table and charcoal grill. Facility amenities include a gift shop, full-service restaurant with cocktail lounge and a convenience store that carries groceries items and toiletries. An on-site marina has a bait shop, boat launch and large fishing pier with dock space free to all guests. Aluminum boats are available for rent and include a motor and all safety equipment. A fish-cleaning house is conveniently located near the boat launch.

The Pines Resort

The Pines Resort is located on the northeast shore of the lake and offers two- to five-bedroom cabins and eight full hook-up RV campsites. Cabins include a fully equipped kitchen, linens and patio or deck with picnic table. The main lodge at the facility includes a game room, snack bar and convenience store with groceries, fishing bait and tackle. The resort rents canoes, pontoon boats and 18-foot aluminum fishing boats with all safety equipment provided. There is an on-site boat launch for guests as well as several fishing piers with dock space that are available for a daily fee.
