Highland Campground

Highland Campground is located 10 miles to the northwest of Scranton in Dalton, Pennsylvania. The campground has 35 acres of wooded landscape in the Endless Mountains. It offers partial or full hook-up RV sites that include 20/30-amp electrical service, fire ring and picnic table. Facility amenities include a clubhouse with free wireless Internet access, coin-operated laundry and modern restrooms with private showers. Recreational amenities include an outdoor swimming pool with patio seating area, arcade room and playground. Guests have access to hiking trails that traverse the wooded area surrounding the campground.

Frances Slocum State Park

Frances Slocum State Park is located 13 miles to the west of Scranton and encompasses 1,035 acres. It offers rustic and partial hook-up campsites that include a picnic table and fire ring. Facility amenities include a dump station, modern restrooms and private showers. There are several hiking trails in the park, which vary in length from a mile to almost four miles and are accessible from the campground. Frances Slocum Lake offers guests boating and fishing opportunities with rental boats available as well as two boat launches.

Jellystone Park Tunkhannock

Jellystone Park campground is a family-oriented park located 16 miles northwest of Scranton in Tunkhannock. It offers partial and full hook-up campsites that include 30/50-amp electrical service, picnic table and fire ring along with wireless Internet access and cable TV at select sites. Enjoy daily visits from Yogi Bear theme characters as well as planned activities and holiday celebrations. Facility amenities include a camp store, propane filling station and coin-operated laundry room in addition to modern restrooms and private showers. Recreational amenities include a playground, outdoor swimming pool with sundeck and Gem mining activity area as well as forest hiking trails accessible from the campground. Tunkhannock Creek runs adjacent to the park where guests can fish, swim or tube.
