Cumberland, Wisconsin, is a town built on a piece of land almost surrounded by Che-wa-cum-ma-towan-gok Lake. It is a deep and clear lake. Not technically an island only because of a narrow strip of land that connects to to the mainland, the town sits at the intersection of U.S. Highway 63 and Wisconsin Highway 48. There are several lakes and parks in the surrounding area.

Country Quiet RV & Campground

At less than five miles from Cumberland, Country Quiet RV & Campground is just off County Road 8. Many lakes dot the area, and this campground is near Silver Lake and the Grassy Lake Public Fishing Area. It is a privately owned, family-operated property. Many of the people who frequent this area stay all season, but people wanting to spend just a day or two will find sites available.

Of the campground's 102 sites, 98 have water and electric hookups. More than half of the sites have 50-amp connections, and four come with electricity only. Most of the sites are pull-through and can handle an RV up to 50 feet long. This RV site is open from May 1 through October 1 each year. There is a dump station, which non-guests may use for a fee. Pets are welcome.

Fishing supplies are available at the convenience store that is also stocked with some groceries. Outdoor facilities available include horseshoes, basketball, volleyball and a general sports field. There are planned activities as well.
