West Virginia is known for its rolling mountains and scenic, natural beauty. For these reasons it is a popular tourist and destination with thousands of visitors coming to camp each year. There are a number of parks and facilities with cabin rentals in the surrounding area, each offering different accommodations and services. Rates and availability differ at each location, so be sure to call in advance.

Kumbrabow State Forest

The Kumbrabow State Forest, located 18 miles outside of Bentley, has a number cabins, RV, and tent sites available for nightly rental throughout the year. Each cabin has several bunks, electricity, and running water. Clean restrooms and showers are located throughout the park. Outside of each cabin is a picnic table, fire pit, and barbecue grill. Hunting and fishing are also popular at the park, when in season.

Holly River State Park

Holly River State Park, located 20 miles outside of Bentley, is an 8,000-acre state park with a select number of cabins available for nightly rental, as well as tent and RV sties as well. The second largest park in West Virginia, Holly Springs has a number of recreational activities, including tennis and volleyball courts, swimming pools, and numerous hiking and biking trails. Cabins vary from small, double bed cabins to large, multi-room cabins available for large groups. All cabins are equipped with electricity and a sink.

Golden Anchor Luxury Log Cabins and Restaurant

Golden Anchor Luxury Log Cabins and Restaurant is an upscale restaurant and retreat, situated in the mountains of West Virginia, 25 miles outside of Bentley. Golden Anchor has six luxurious cabins, including four spacious honeymoon cabins, a hillside cabin, and a lakeside cabin. All log cabins have hot tubs, vaulted ceilings, as well as porches and patios. There are also full kitchens, sitting rooms, and multiple bedrooms in each cabin. The restaurant, located just several hundred feet from each cabin, has an extensive menu specializing in seafood and small game. Wine and spirits are also served onsite.
