Camping Near Opryland in Tennessee
The Opryland area in Nashville, Tennessee, featuresThe Grand Ole Opry as well as a nearby resort and convention center and the Music City Queen Riverboat. Nearby recreation includes fishing and boating along the Cumberland and Harpeth rivers, and hiking and biking along the many greenway trails incorporated around the city. Shelby Bottoms offers 10 miles of primitive and multi-use trails that wander along the waterfront, out to scenic overlooks and across rustic bridges. Several campsites are within city limits.

Opryland KOA

Open year-round, this KOA is just two miles from Opryland and offers RV pads, tent sites and cabins. Amenities include free wireless Internet, a swimming pool, modern bathhouses, picnic tables and patio furniture at campsites and a convenience store for sundries, firewood and LP gas. RV sites accommodate rigs up to 102-feet long and supply 50-amp service with cable available at select sites. Bicycle rentals and planned activities are available to campers. The KOA is within a short drive from Harpeth River, a tributary of the Cumberland River popular for canoeing and fishing.

Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp Resort

This family-friendly resort campground, two miles from Opryland, focuses heavily on planned activities for the kids. Park amenities include mini-golf, live entertainment, game courts, playgrounds and a convenience store. More than 230 sites are available for RVs and tents that include water, electric and full-hookup options. Dogs are welcome, though breed restrictions apply. The campground is located within 12 miles of the Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, Adventure Science Center and area golf courses.

Two Rivers Campground

Located two miles north of Opryland attractions, the Two Rivers Campground is an RV-only park featuring a gift shop, free wireless Internet access, a recreation hall, swimming pool and seasonal live entertainment. A concierge desk helps guests with car rentals, tours and tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. RV sites provide full hook-ups with 30- and 50-amp electrical options, shaded sites and propane available onsite. This park is located near Peeler Park with two miles of hiking and biking trails and a boat ramp for river access.

Anderson Road Campground

Set away from the bustle of the city, this primitive campground on the shores of J. Pierce Priest Lake is about a 20-minute drive from Opryland. Anderson Road is a small campground with 37 sites available for tents and RVs, but hookups for water, electric and sewer are not available. The grounds do include potable water, a dump station, picnic shelter, boat launch, laundry facility and hot showers. No ATVs, OVs or audio devices are allowed in the park. This area is popular for boating, fishing and swimming at the lake.
