Snowflake, Arizona is situated on the eastern side of the state and a short drive from several national parks such as Petrified Forest and Apache. Those traveling the country by RV are encouraged to explore the hiking trails and outdoor activities that the nearby mountains have to offer or take a walking tour of the town. See the Ladder Day Saints Temple that was finished in 2009, locate the historical buildings, or visit the Stinson Pioneer Museum. On breaks from the sight-seeing, enjoy any one of the numerous RV parks for respite from the road.

Putters Paradise RV Park

Putters Paradise RV Park, in Snowflake, includes RV sites with full hook ups, cable and Internet access at every site. Rates are available on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Onsite features include a club house, pool, laundry facilities, showers and games. Fitness equipment and games are located on the second floor of the club house. Golf carts are available for rent if you prefer to ride instead of walk around the park. The newest Ladder Days Saints temple is just down the street and downtown is a couple miles. Golf packages are offered for those that enjoy the sport.

Waltner's RV Resort

Waltner's RV Resort has sites available on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Water, sewer, electrical and cable are covered in the cost of the daily and weekly rentals. Showers, bathrooms and a laundry facility are onsite as well as a recreation room with games and crafts. Other activities include horseshoes, hiking, fishing and a library. The resort is open May 1, through October 15 and is for ages 55 and older. A short drive away you can experience plenty of outdoor fun in the Sitgreaves National Forest or visit the White Mountain Apache Indian Reservation skiing and fishing.

Sitgreaves National Forest

In existence more than 100 years, the Sitgreaves National Forest is named after Captain Lorenzo Sitgreaves who made a scientific exploration of Arizona in the 1850's. The park is located just southwest of town and has many campgrounds available for your use, 16 of them with RV accommodations. Four of the campgrounds such as Canyon Point and Aspen have a dump station for your use and almost all offer drinking water. A few campgrounds do not charge a camping fee. Many camp sites at the various locations have fire rings and picnic tables. The forest has fishing, hiking and boat ramp access as well as scenic views
